John Brecker, CAIA
John is a Managing Director where he is responsible for leading the firm’s client solutions efforts in the Midwest U.S and Insurance Client Solutions team. In his role, John works closely with institutional clients to find creative solutions to access the private markets through commingled funds, customized managed solutions and strategic partnerships. Over his tenure with Hamilton Lane, John has held numerous roles including Head of Client Solutions in the Americas but has always remained committed to working with clients since his joining.
Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2012, John spent more than five years with Turner Investments, most recently as a Director and Principal with the U.S. and Canada Institutional team. Previously, he was a Financial Advisor with Virginia Asset Management and Waddell & Reed, where he worked with high-net-worth families and small businesses.
John received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. He is a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst.
