Who is providing this notice?
Hamilton Lane Incorporated and its affiliated investment funds and management companies (collectively “Hamilton Lane”).

What we do

How does Hamilton Lane protect my personal information?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Hamilton Lane collect my personal information?
We collect your personal information, for example, when you
  • open an account or give us your contact information
  • enter into an investment advisory contract
  • show your government-issued ID We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?
Federal law gives you the right to limit only
  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you 
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?


Your choices will apply to everyone on your account – unless you tell us otherwise.
Definitions

Affiliates
Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Nonaffiliates
Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Nonaffiliates we share with can include financial services companies (e.g., broker-dealers, custodians, and banks) and service providers who maintain or service customer accounts for Hamilton Lane. 
  • Hamilton Lane does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing
A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
  • Hamilton Lane doesn’t jointly market.
Other important information
California Residents – In accordance with California law, we will not share information we collect about California residents with nonaffiliates except as permitted by law, such as with the consent of the customer or to service the customer’s accounts. We will also limit the sharing of information about you with our affiliates to the extent required by applicable California law. 

Vermont Residents – In accordance with Vermont law, we will not share information we collect about Vermont residents with nonaffiliates except as permitted by law, such as with the consent of the customer or to service the customer’s accounts. We will not share creditworthiness information about Vermont residents among Hamilton Lane’s affiliates except with the authorization or consent of the Vermont resident.
