Atul Varma, CFA
Atul is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, responsible for the oversight of the Corporate Finance department.
Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Atul was the Head of Business Strategy and Chief Financial Officer of Wealth Management at the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he served as Chief Financial Officer of various divisions of Bank of America Corporation’s Global Wealth and Investment Management Group. In addition, he has held financial planning, advisory and auditing positions at Citigroup, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and M.R. Weiser & Co, respectively.
Atul received an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and serves on the board of The Partnership, Inc. and on the Leadership Board of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a world-class teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
